Many of the drivers at Plainfield Trucking in Plainfield, WI, choose to be home daily, others prefer to drive long haul and be out an extended period of time. One of the big benefits of being one of our drivers is choice. Work is not typically seasonal, while produce hauling is slower in the winter, we generally have work year round for those who wish to vary their routes from day-to-day.

Drivers are an important part of our team and we’ll always treat you with respect. Our open door management policy means that we’ll make time to hear your suggestions, thoughts and even your complaints. Continuous safety training is provided. All drivers are assigned EFS cards for fuel purchases. Drop and hook opportunities exist in a large percentage of our loads.

All drivers hired by us are subject to the following criteria:

  • Be at least 23 years of age
  • Possess a Class A, WI CDL
  • No more than three moving violations in the last 36 months
  • Must meet all applicable DOT regulations and be familiar with the FMCSR’s
  • Each driver must pass a DOT physical performed by a Plainfield Trucking approved physician
  • You must also pass a pre-employment drug screen and also meet the eligibility criteria to perform our job description
  • No DUI or reckless driving tickets in the last five years and none ever in a commercial motor vehicle
  • No more than two preventable accidents in the last two years

Wellness Program

At Plainfield Trucking, our goal is to educate, inspire and encourage employees to take better care of their health by incorporating lifestyle changes to reduce further health care risks. Part of our wellness commitment is a partnership with Waushara Family Physicians Clinic. All employees enrolled in our group health insurance plan receive primary care services covered 100% at the Waushara Family Physicians Clinic in Plainfield, Wild Rose and Wautoma, and the CHN Clinic in Markesan. Employees can see doctors and have lab tests performed at the clinic at no cost to the employee. Yearly health risk assessment exams are also part of this program.

Participants can earn points for completing our annual wellness program. Participants who successfully complete the program can earn a cash bonus and rewards. Since 2015, spouses of employees have been invited to participate and also earn bonuses.

Requirements

  • A valid commercial driver’s license
  • A current physical card and long form physical
  • An insurance certificate
  • Copy of paid 2290 (previous and current year)
  • Current annual inspection
  • Copy of vehicle title
  • Proof of worker’s compensation insurance
  • Signed lease agreement

Compensation and Bonuses
